Yesterday, Amazon.com announced it's Amazon.com eGift Card can now be given by way of Facebook wall post. Selling gift cards electronically is great for both consumers (delivered quickly) and the companies who issue them (no shipping cost). Adding an integration with a service like Facebook ads more to the experience and we expect this trend to continue.
The process is quite simple. First off, you'll need a Facebook account and you must be Facebook friends with person whom you'd like to give the gift card. Then head over to the Amazon.com Gift Card page and select the Facebook gift card option. Just click the 'Connect with Facebook' button to give Amazon.com access to your Facebook information. You're next step is to select a design, dollar amount and delivery date. At this stage you can also enter a message and select whether or not it's private or public. Finally, you'll add the product to you shopping cart and checkout like normal.
Voilà!
Your gift will now be posted to your recipients Facebook wall and only your recipient will be able to see the Amazon.com Gift Card amount and claim code.
